Our thoughts and prayers are with the students, families, faculty and staff whose lives have been affected by all recent school tragedies. In light of recents events, the safety committee wants to make sure you are aware of the safety precautions that we have in place at St. Paul.
First to go through the precautions we have in place:
Hold is the protocol used when hallways need to be kept clear of occupants. |
|
Secure is the protocol used to safeguard people within the building. |
|
Lockdown is the protocol used to secure individual rooms and keep occupants quiet and in place. |
|
Evacuate and may be followed by a location, and is used to move people from one location to a different location in or out of the building. |
|
Shelter State the Hazard and Safety Strategy for group and self protection. |
The Safety Committee meets monthly and consists of staff members, parish members, parents, staff from El Pomar, and Officer Walsh. We discuss current events and how to best meet the needs of circumstances in our building.
We hope the information above communicates some of the measures we have in place to make sure St. Paul is a safe community where we are all working together to benefit all students, staff and community members.
We welcome any suggestions and new members. Please email Sandy Rivera at: [email protected] if you would like to volunteer. Thank you.
